Step 1

Hello!

Let's begin today by considering two choices in life that are make or break:

a) We can believe what's negative and refuse to believe our lives can improve, much less be everything we hoped for.

OR

b) We can focus on our positive qualities and know at gut level that there's something far better out there for us and we're going to find it.

Which one do you choose?

Step 2

If you chose "option a" and believe your life isn't going to improve, then can you find one thing you hoped for - anything - that turned out better than you thought? If so, what was it? Write about it in the space below.

Suppose you chose "option b", however, and you know deep down there's something better out there and you're going to find it. If that's your true answer, then the way to get it is through your identity - the real you.

We're talking about the core traits that make you who you are.

These qualities include what you want to be known for, such as, honesty, trustworthy, respected, kind, noble, artistic, creative, generous, compassionate.....the list goes on and on.

So...what kind of traits were you born with?

Step 3

No matter how you responded in Step 2, write one, short sentence about what you think your destiny could include.

This should include the positive attributes you listed in Day 3 and the ones listed above.

Step 4

List one small step you can take today toward your destiny as you understand it now.

One simple step could be to focus on your positives by pushing yourself in school, with friends, at your present job or in your current situation.

Step 5

How does it feel to think about doing the next small step?

Frightening? Yep.

Exhilarating? Oh yeah.

Triumphant? Definitely!

What is your level of confidence at this moment?

Step 6

Success means you tried. It doesn't mean you were successful the first time. It's the honest, whole-hearted, passionate attempt that matters.

It's in this kind of attempt that we get stronger, smarter and more resilient. That's the point.

Take a big breath, exit this step, AND GO FOR IT!
