'God, Really, How Much Longer Do I Have To Wait?': Isaiah 40:28-31 (Patience)

Read Galatians 5:22-23:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Are you ready to make an investment in the Fruit of Patience?

In regard to fulfilling your dreams and desires, how much impatience are you experiencing toward God truly coming through for you?

Read Isaiah 40:28-31:

"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint, and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

Allow this verse to penetrate and then select the 'Successful' response.

Get quiet, and when you are ready, ask the Holy Spirit to search you and reveal anything about your thoughts, beliefs and motives toward waiting on Him that He would like to speak to.

Read Psalms 37:7-9:

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself, it tends only to evil. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land."

The Bible verses above speak of two main themes of what it means to successfully wait upon the Lord:

First, to humbly ask God to increase our inner strength when we grow weary.

Second, to ask God to take our anger and worry and redeem those feelings into trust for Him and His Word.

Clearly, this is not an event, but a day to day process. Is there something you would like to ask of God?
