Summary: Investing in the fruit of gentleness.

Step 1

Read Galatians 5:22-23:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

Are you ready to make an investment in the Fruit of Gentleness?

Step 2

Take a few deep breaths and then read Ephesians 3:16-21:

"I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen."

Allow some time to digest this word. Select the 'Successful' response when you are finished.

Step 3

Allow yourself to relax and get quiet. When you are ready, pray the following:

"Father, from your glorious, unlimited resources, empower me with inner strength through your Spirit."

Select 'Successful' when you are finished.

Step 4

Do you believe that through the inner strength the Holy Spirit empowers you with "Christ will make his home in your heart as you trust in Him"?

Step 5

How much do you truly trust Christ with the details of your life today?

Step 6

How much do you believe that as you trust Christ with the details of your life, "your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong"?

Step 7

Ask the Holy Spirit to give you "the power to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is."

As He reveals it to you, write down your observations.

Step 8

Imagine that apostle Paul is standing over you and blessing you with the following:

"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

Select 'Successful' after you have received his blessing.

Step 9

Read Paul's praise of God: "Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen."

Now it's your turn, praise God as you see fit. If you like, you can write down your praise in the space provided.

Step 10

Read John 7:37-38:

"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Go to 'Documents' and read Oswald Chambers short commentary on this verse. Select 'Successful' when you are finished.

Step 11

"Gentleness is the strongest force in the world."

What does that statement mean to you?
