Goal: this Cognitive Trail will improve the ability to outsmart emotions that result in painful outcomes (Blind Spots).

Description: 'Blind Spots' takes trekkers through specific steps to help outsmart tendencies toward friends and loved ones that are hurtful.


Step 1

Hey you did it! Congrats on finishing the Blind spots trail!

We're going to end this on a really good note, so bear with us for just a bit.

First, let's take a look at another source of drama. It's distress that doesn't seem to have an end.

If you're experiencing negativity from someone close to you, then it's okay to take a vacation (as much time as needed) from people or situations causing you to feel hurt and humiliated.

If you're the one creating the drama, then give others a vacation from you.

Remember that you have the power to distance yourself from drama. It's a perfectly acceptable way to use your power.

How willing are you to give yourself and others time apart to cool down?

Step 2

As you complete the 'Blind Spots' navitents, here are some of the topics we covered that you may want to keep in mind:

*know the high price that you and others pay for rage and for passivity
*understand your inherent value
*know there's higher form of justice at work on your behalf
*release the hold from your past by focusing on your present and future
*forgive yourself if necessary
*allow yourself to drop the need to feel guilty, enraged or ashamed
*know the value of moving on with a sense of empowerment and freedom
*ask others to forgive you when you mess up
*be confident in who you are and what you have to offer so that you'll be an equal player in any relationship

*May you continue on through life with sound reasoning, a wisdom that surpasses your age and confidence that guides you past conflict and into a feeling of being loved for who you are and what you bring to others.

*May you have peace with yourself and your past. We add that we hope you have a future that eclipses anything from your past.

*May you have a strong sense of knowing that you can reclaim your inherent value and your sense of well being as you walk away from your past and toward the future that is yours by rights.

*May you enjoy a new beginning and the overwhelming sense of freedom, inner strength and joy that go with fresh starts.

*May you be a blessing to yourself and others as a way of life.

*May you experience a sense of stability, happiness, love and people who bring out each of these gifts in you.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your ability to let go and move on with (1) being "Not yet" and (10) being "Moving on with my head held high".

Step 5
